Brass Monkey Five. Just a single hole and a ring at the end of each piece differentiate it from Brass Monkey One, Two, Three, and Four. It looks very similar to the other puzzles but has a completely different trick locking its secrets.
Like the previous puzzles, it weighs almost 800g (1.1 lbs). Each piece is 70mm long and has a diameter of 19mm. This is a puzzler's puzzle. Perfect for fooling those who think they have seen it before. It looks like a standard interlocking Burr. It isn't. It makes a perfect quintet with its predecessors.
Please note that the hues of the pieces of this puzzle may differ slightly when you first receive it. This puzzle was manufactured over a slightly longer timeframe than other puzzles and some pieces have naturally tarnished a little faster than other. These differences will normalise with a little time (less time if you polish your puzzle, but that means solving it first!).
The fifth picture shows BM5 front and center with its BM1, BM2, BM3 and BM4 mates. The last couple of pictures show Derek's new Helical burr.
